Moderators Lee Knight Posted January 5, 2007 Moderators Share Posted January 5, 2007 No experience. I do remember, however, The Doobie Brothers using the original model for their live work and they sounded good. You reminded me I should give it a try. Like any dynamic, it will probably benefit greatly from a nice pre.
Members Headbanger
Damn there's a E609 and a E906. I'm confused.
Moderators Lee Knight Posted January 5, 2007 Moderators Share Posted January 5, 2007 The 906 is supposed to closer to the original and some other things I'm sure. Some folks don't like the e609 but I find it's great on guitar if a 57's too harsh. It's good on tom. Voice? interesting idea as I mentioned about the Doobies and the original 609 on stage. Members where02190
Stevie Ray Vaughn also used a 409 live for vocals. I'm sure they wouldn't be bad, depending on the specific voice and track.
