Members the stranger Posted January 9, 2007 Members Share Posted January 9, 2007 I just got The In Crowd by The Ramsey Lewis Trio. Wish I could have been at that show. The title track makes my hair stand on end. And this album is a great example of an album that has serious dynamics. They take it down so low at points, you think it's a fade out, but then they come stomping back in. Yeah! -~ I love this album and I just opened it yesterday. An early Telarc digital recording, 2 mics, and the most amazing imaging and capture of anything I have ever heard. You close your eyes, and you are in the hall. Was the best concert experience of my recollection. I also like Cream Goodbye. Woodstock was an unprecedented live recording with plenty of ups and downs, but Jimi's Star Spangled Banner stands out as a live performance.
