Members guitarmonster
I'm currently working with an old VS 880, a good machine but somewhat limited. Eventually I'd like to move up to a full-on DAW, when I can afford it. In the meantime I thought the VS Pro sounded like a good intermediate step, if it's any good. Any info? Members nat whilk II
Best place to ask Roland VS questions is on the VS Planet BBS. Great site, many many highly experience VS users. Just Google VS Planet. If you're talking about the PC software for remote-controlling the VS machines, my memory is that it just didn't work, period. I got a 1680 about 8 years ago and tried the VS Pro, but it was awful, really awful. There's an outside chance that 1)the software you're talking about is different that the software I tried out, and 2)the software and/or the VS hardware updates have cured most of the problems. I doubt this is so, because I was not an early user of the software, and I also read very many complaints about the software from other VS Users. But ya never know. Check out the VS Planet - those guys know all those machines inside and out. nat whilk ii
