Members Tedster
Well, I reckon I'm safe. They weren't playing Sonny and Cher on the radio this morning when I woke up.

Members Jeff da Weasel
Can you think of a more ridiculous pseudo-holiday-event thing than Groundhog Day? Some mammal comes out of a hole at a moment when the sun is either shining or isn't, and we use this to pretend that it has some tangible effect on upcoming weather conditions even though we know it doesn't, and probably always knew it was meaningless? I like having fun. I'm a fun guy, and possibly a fungi, but other than the fact that groundhogs are kind of marginally fuzzy and cute, and you don't spend many other times during the year thinking of them, I'm not sure there was ever actually a valid reason for Groundhog Day existing in the first place, much less why it continues now. But Happy Groundhog Day! Long live Punxsutawney Phil, I guess! - Jeff
