Members Hollerin Harry
I love my Takamine classical electric-acoustic...It's got great tone and acceptable reverb. But the thing just eats AA batteries...Anyone ever make an AC power supply for these guitars?
Members ggm1960
there's a current leak in your electronics, that should not be happening
Members philbo
Consider having a luthier install an XLR jack & a small regulator so you can run it on phantom power... just a thought. Some of the Godin guitars do this. You'd probably need to tap the expertise of an electronics tech to design & put the circuit together.
Members ggm1960
My Takamine EF341SC has the built in tuner and uses a 9V battery. Before that I had a Fender acoustic/electric that was just a peizo and preamp but it also used 9V batteries. What kind of electronics does you Takamine have? Members Hollerin Harry
Thanks for your replies. Specifically, I believe the guitar is the EC 132C...It's powered by two AA batteries.
Members fantasticsound
Are you unplugging the guitar when it is not in use? If not, you're running the electronics (and draining the batteries) constantly.
Members ggm1960
I saw a review at Musician's Friend:Product: Takamine EC-132C Classical Guitar "The built-in tuner does not turn off automatically, and this looks like a sure way to senselessly kill batteries" Could that be a problem?
