Members UstadKhanAli
On the other hand, I love hearing movement in the stereo field if it's a field recording. Anyway, stop head banging to your Norwegian black metal and this will go away.
Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
Who committed that particular crime, Signore Clematide? An unknown, quasi anonymous "yesterday I didn't know how to spell enginner today I'm one myself" bloke who possibly won a Mac in the lottery circa three days ago and then recorded six trumpets and six trombones, always two of the instruments with a stereo microphone technique. . Members RockViolin
Um...s'cuse me Maestro. Can you please explain further? I mean, a choir isn't point source. Or an orchestra when heard in a hall. At least not in any hall I've been in. A violin section takes up half of the stage, is made up of upwards of 32 players, some with Strads, some with Guarnarius, Guadanini, and (gasp) even some American instruments, and at any given time even in the best of sections one can hear one player emerging a bit more than another. I always thought that cool thing about it.

Members Jeff da Weasel
I like Neil more than ever after seeing/hearing that. Ha ha. Sorry for the thread jack, but I always imagine he's saying "Wanderin'" instead of "Wonderin'", and the thread title summoned my inner Neil. Now back to your stereo field discussion. Members RockViolin
I'm glad I read your reply before it got whacked Angelo. Filed for future reference. Thanks! Sorry so slow with that. BTW. How do you do that? Not a trace. I've got about 150 posts I'd like to put under.
