Members UMT
I just started using Firefox and maybe this has been going on for quite some time and I never noticed but why do I have to 'log in' every time I visit the site? I do have FF set to accept cookies? What am I missing here? Any help appreciated! Thanks, UMT

Thanks, UMT Did you save the username and password by clicking the "Remember" button which appears above the page, underneath the toolbar, when you first login to a site? Another possibility is you may have more saved more than one username/password combination in firefox and it doesn't know which one you want to use to log in with. To test if this is the case, try clicking in the login field to see if 1 or more usernames appear. Or go to "Tools>Options>Security" menu Click the"Saved Passwords" button. Then click the "Show Passwords" button. Check the list for entries named "http://acapella.harmony-central.com" If you have multiple entries for "http://acapella.harmony-central.com", or entries with wrong username/password for "http://acapella.harmony-central.com",delete the ones you don't require. Then login again with correct username/password and click the "Remember" button which appears under the toolbar at the top of the page.

Members UMT
Or FF is clearing your cookies on close. Thanks, Stranger but I had checked that one. Seems to be working fine now that I got rid of the 'double' passwords I inadvertently stored.... Thanks Again!

Members the stranger
I have the same problem with twitter. I seem to have inadvertently ended up with two logins that are the same user name, but the passwords are different. I could fix it by deleting the one entry, but I'm not sure which one it would be?! So, I just try both until it works. So, I feel your pain. No cookies for me, either.
Members Cry Logic
If you click in the login field when you go to a forum you should see all the username/password combinationsthat you have saved in FireFox for that forum. Well ... you'll see the usernames .. the passwords are encrypted. So just choose one of those usernames. If it works it's good. If it doesn't it's bad.Delete the bad ones as per instructions above. Members Cry Logic
To avoid the multi password problem in FireFox:Never click the "Remember" button till you'reactually logged on with that password. FireFox will "Remember" bad passwords along with the good ones and then you get the blank logon field. Conversely, if you want to have multiple loginsjust "Remember" each one then click in the loginfield to see them all and choose the one you want tologin with for that session. My wife and I use this method for eBay and other forumsif one of us wants to quickly login to check somethingwithout having to switch users. It doesn't work with every web site or forum.Facebook is a one site that won't let you see the multiplepasswords ... but anyone who's used it would knowhow clunky FaceBook is, so that's not very surprising. But it does work with eBay, Gmail, HArmony Central and many others. Some sites will require you to type the 1st letter of your username in the login field, before the username will appear. FireFox will only let you login to a particular sitewith 1 username/password combination at a time but we get around that, if we need to by doing one login in FireFox and the other in Google Chrome. Notice I haven't mentioned Internet explorer? That's because we don't use it.It's disabled on my OS (Windows 7 RC).
