Members Bookumdano2
This came across on one of those Japanese tv channels a couple of nights ago. I was trying to figure out what it was because I actually found myself LIKING the song as it went on. Go figure. I then did some checking and apparently this thing is huge in a lot of countries. It's kinda creepy, derivative, and weird, so why do I think it's pretty cool? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi6Zbhxg-vA
Members Richard King
I think it's Korean and there have to be 100 different versions of the video up there. Here's another... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ7FrgIJ64Y&NR=1 (What's with the blonde hair in both videos?)
Moderators Lee Knight Posted November 23, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2009 I toured Japan for 6 weeks. I couldn't turn the TV off when I was in my room. I love this stuff. She's like a cross between Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. But the, in this case, Korean sensibility, and the Japanese... it's just so... ...like trying to bring cartoons into real life. Sexy cartoons. I love the plastic, disposable, fun and bright outlook. Like they took Cindy Lauper's thing and brought it into the Jetson's future.
Members techristian
There are some free channels on the satellite at 129 degrees west. They have a mix of chinese, japanese and taiwan channels. The "family variety shows" are hilarious. I can't understand what they are saying , but they jump up and down and are so animated. Dragons and dragon costumes are also big. Dan
Members rasputin1963
I used to watch a Japanese soap opera... While I didn't catch any of the particulars, the rough story being outlined was intelligible to me: A young wife is unhappy because her new husband listens to his mother and obeys her more than he listens to and obeys the new little wife.
