I've never felt that 30 seconds is enough to really impart the vibe of the song, and you constantly compromise between allowing listeners to preview verses versus choruses, and so on. I`m iTunes artist as well and 30 seconds is not enough. I always like giving people the second verse, chorus going into middle 8... that pretty much gives them the jest of the song w/o giving it ALL away.
