Members G-Sun
Hi!Had a performance to day, children theater, 2 persons on stage.A local "sound-guy" playing our CD with bacground-music and effects.Short story: He missed out on 1/2 of the cues..Normally we have our cd-player with auto-cue (that's singel play) on stage, behind the curtains, starting it ourselves, but it's a little sensitive to vibrations and needs some space, and setup-time. So, I'm looking for another solution, preferably- small-rugged-foot-triggered (not nesessary)- stereo- line out (balanced and/or unbalanced)- at least 12 slots- less-is-more, at least for big buttons Any ideas? Of course, I could use our current cd-player with DI-boxes,but I'm looking into other options. Thanks!
Members G-Sun
I guess JamMan is an obvious choice:http://www.digitech.com/en/products/jamman-stereo
Members Anderton
Roland's SP-303 is a "legacy" product, but it seems it has a lot of what you want - 16 samples, expandable sample time with SD cards, easy triggering, rugged, compact, etc. Shouldn't be too hard to find one used...I've seen them sell for around $180-$250. The JamMan is a really good choice too, but it may have more than you want because of all the cool looping feature.I had a DJ friend who had an SP-202 and would go into the crowd before he played and have people say things, then work those samples into his set. It always went over really well.
