Phil O'Keefe
Looks like Linda Ronstadt has been forced to retire due to Parkinson's. Such sad news - IMO, she's one of the best singers of all time.http://social.entertainment.msn.com/music/blogs/reverb-blogpost.aspx?post=3f64ac27-a853-4289-bd74-905ae92e9e2c
Members UstadKhanAli
That is definitely sad to not be able to do what you love.
Members rasputin1963
Yeesh, yeah I heard this today. It's awful. She apparently waited a good eight years before approaching a neurologist regarding her shaking hands and failing voice muscles.. Who knows whether they could've slowed down the progress of the disease. Well, she IS 67, after all, and leaves behind a bogglingly good canon of brilliant, timeless records (beautifully produced/engineered, too, as I'm sure all of us here will concede). Just for her Mexican albums... or her Nelson Riddle records ALONE, she'd be considered a huge incomparable success.I hear she walks with two crutches now, or wheels herself along in a wheelchair. Shame. Ageing is a bitch.
