Members stickboymusic
Damn it's quiet round here. So I wrote this song a while back (i think it made it on here) but it was a super slow plodding affair and i canned it. Just had a play through last night in a much more up tempo way Here is just a rough live recording.....do you think the subject is working in this style? https://soundcloud.com/stickboy/if-youre-lonely-live-demo Anything jumping out in the lyrics before I start recording properly? If you're lonely then it seems you do not knowI've been hanging round foreverOnly to findI am never in your armsAnd never on your mind If you're lonelyReach out your hand and hold meFor a million days won't matter if you don't see...That a million dreams will shatter if I leave Love is like a rollercoasterPassing by at speedYou have to make the ups and downsBefore you can proceedIf you just wanna take this ride alone then let it showI guess that lonely is the only thing you know Its the only thing you knowAs the lonesome rivers flowAnd the crying winds they blowI guess that lonely is the only thing you know Life is like a carouselSpinning out of timeIt's easier to take the lows (I think these two lines may need to tie in more with a carousel?)Than try and chance the climbIf you just wanna take this ride alone....Then let me goI guess that lonely is the only thing you know
Members LeonardScaper
It is quiet, isn't it? That's ok.....I'm in a writing frame of mind still. So good to hear you again.....I liked it when you brought your voice down and more intimate at the end of the song. Anyway, since you asked.......I like the rollercoaster lines but the carousel ones caught me up a bit in that the image did not fit for me. To me a carousel is a pretty safe ride with no serious climbs that one must chance.
