Members tony333 Posted June 1, 2016 Members Share Posted June 1, 2016 Let me preface this by saying I don't know much about this genre of music. To me the words are a little lost in the mix. I don't know that I would have ever made out some of them without the printed lyrics. It also seems a little "choppy". Both if these may just be this style of music. Nice work though. But, from a pop/dance perspective, I think this needs a stronger HOOK and a little more instrumentation. Lyrically, there is a nice evolution from the "playing game with your heart" to the "I was a fool" to "I was trying to survive." And that comes through when reviewing the lyrics sheet, but is hard to feel that when listening to the song. Maybe, like tony333 said above, "the words are a little lost in the mix." So, I might add a couple of cool synth parts, and not bury the vocal so much. And you could use the synth parts to highlight the HOOK "I was playing."
