Members LCK
"Blue Skies," a strange tune -- a "happy" lyric sung in a mostly minor key -- written by Irving Berlin in 1926 as a last minute addition to a Rodgers and Hart musical titled Betsy. According to Wikipedia on opening night audiences demanded 24 encores of the piece. During the final repetition the show's star forgot the words, prompting Berlin to sing the song from his seat in the front row. It's been recorded many, many times. Bing Crosby had a hit with it 1946. Willie Nelson's version went to the top of the country charts in 1978. Here's Bobby Darin's version from 1962.
