Members SteveNutz
I'm sure you've all been in the situation..you've got a really bad ass idea in your head and are scrambling to write it down. Woops, no staff paper at hand! What do ya do?!?!? Sometimes I just write notes in letter form in C Major, indicating rhythm by spacing and harmony by chord names. However, I find that this isn't very good for rhythm..what do you guys do?
Members ageofzeppelin
heh, I couldn't write notation even if I had staff paper. I just make chord charts of any unusual fingerings I might not remember and then write the chords out, divided into measures, up and down arrows indicating picking, beats counted across the top.A nonsense example, with 'd' replacing a down arrow. 1 & uh 2 3 & 4 & uhd d ^ ^ d d ^ d ^A# C A# D F# other stuff just gets tabbed
