Members LCK
Here it is, finally. I'm not sure I've done it justice, but I hope you can tell I really like this song. "Socks and Shoes" Lunch has all been packedjust the way you like, apples peeled and sliced, chocolate milk just right. Sit down at the table, still waking up,Frosted Corn Flakes in your bowlsand coffee in my cup. Think I'll take a shower. You guys get dressed.Try to find some clothes that match.I know. Just do your best. Now it's time for socks and shoes, hats and coats and gloves, books and backpacks, homework anda Hersey kiss for love. Drop them off in front of schooland watch them run and play.Reach across to close the door, then drive off to my day.But before I do I'll box this memoryso the happiness won't fade away. Members Monkey Uncle
I can see why you picked that song. It suits your style quite well. I had not heard it before. Ram, if you're reading, that's a great song. I don't know which one of you came up with the idea for the radio announcer at the end, but that really puts a nice finishing touch on the song. Moderators Lee Knight Posted October 19, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 19, 2011 Oh yeah... I really went through the whole journey there. Picturing as I was listening. Cool, slice of life, touching tune there, Ram, and a really nice slant on it, Lee. I can see the dad pulling away from school off to work, feeling great, if not a little melancholy for his time he'll have to spend away from them. Really sweet. I'd never heard it before either. Nice song, though, huh? LCK
Members rickidoo
This is a very touching song. I don't have any specific suggestions save one, which is a production thought - the vocal seems to be sung from the bottom of a tube, by just a small amount. But really, the song reached in and grabbed some memories of my own. It was a nice memories.

Members LCK
Ha !..That ending was cool...an old DJ are ya? Yep, from 1968 to 1983. First song I ever played was "Born to Be Wild." The last was "Little Jeannie" by Elton John. LCK
