Members altdrumz
A few vintage snares I've decided to sell, email me for pictures. A couple I purchased from Mike Currato (sp?) about a decade ago, beautiful sound and great condition. Snares are not original, believe everything else is. mid to late 20's Leedy multi model, slot head screw tension lugs, original strainer, rims appear to be cast aluminum - 15 x 3 huge sounding drum. studio use only - I brought a selection of snares for a session for a shoegazer style band and this drum won the engineer's heart. Mid 20 - 30's Ludwig or Leedy Brass shelled 14 x 6.5 - six lug snare, shell is in great shape, awesome sounding drum, big and fat. center raised 1/2 round bead, full length tube lugs are original, rims, strainer, snares are replacements. Both of these drums are from MC's collection previous to my ownership also have a early ludwig "downbeat" 13x3 blue and gold duco snare, with the center lug which both tension rods go into. Also, Leedy Marching Snare in a rewrapped orange glass glitter ( Blue transition badge ), 50's wooden Ludwig14 x 6 snare, 6 lug, natural finish ( flaking off heavily - shell in great shape ) Contact me for pictures, more details, etc... altdrumz@hotmail.com
