Members pedrohead Posted October 11, 2008 Members Share Posted October 11, 2008 Vintage 1967 Ludwig Silver Sparkle "Club Date" Keystone Badge drum kit with a matching 1965 Ludwig "Pioneer" Silver Sparkle snare drum. Original internal felt dampers on snare and toms. Drums are in good condition for being 41+ years old, don't see any real dents or pitting, edges are still good. Black paint a little chipped on kick drum ring (see pics), but expected for a kit this age. I bought them from the original owner a few years ago and have kept them in my smoke-free studio the entire time. Dimensions: Snare - 14"x5.5" (Remo Coated Ambassador top head and clear Snare Ambassador on bottom) Rack tom - 12"x8" (Remo Coated Ambassador top head and clear Ambassador on bottom) Floor tom - 14"x14" (Remo Coated Ambassador top head and clear Ambassador on bottom) Kick drum - 20"x15" (Remo Powerbass 3 on beater side and vintage reproduction Ludwig logo coated head on front) Snare is date stamped Apr 2, 1965. Kit is date stamped Sep 27, 1967. Similar kits are selling on eBay for upwards of $1000, most of those without the snare. Asking $750 OBO for all drums pictured, no hardware included. 100% positive feedback as "pedrohead" on eBay. Bought and sold several things here and other message boards.
