Members lossforgain
Here is a very nice 1966 Slingerland Artist 3ply snare in WMP, 5x14 size. I'm not a Slingerland expert, but I believe this drum to be all original except for snare wires, snare cord, and heads. The pearl is slightly yellowed, and there is slight to moderate pitting. The hoops are in great shape, and with the exception of a strange blue "thread" that appears to be INSIDE the wrap? everything looks very good. The "AUG 66" date stamp is very clear, and the clear interior is in nice shape (some glue drips, etc from the factory). The edges are wonderful -- tuning is a breeze. The Zoomatic strainer and butt work very well and there are NO extra holes. Great 3ply sound + classic looks = a great addition to your stable OR a great all-around snare to get your feet wet in the vintage world. EDIT: $240 shipped in the US48.
