Members dewees
Just for the sake of comparison, here's an eBay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HAMER-MONACO-SUPERPRO-59-BURST-ELECTRIC-GUITAR_W0QQitemZ380054620824QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380054620824&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A1%7C65%3A10%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&timeout=1218589908978 Here's the Superpro At Musician's Friend - $3279 http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hamer-USA-Monaco-Superpro?sku=516268
Members TomCray
...how do you access the wiring?
Members dewees
...how do you access the wiring? A lot of the body is hollowed out. The pots and jack go through the bridge pickup cavity - like on a 335. Theres a small hole from the neck cavity for the lead to pass though. The wires from the switch snake through the body. That leaves you with a completely clear back.
Members jl in nc
How about a real comparison? Maybe a used superpro on Ebay and the final bid? It is a very cool guitar, but the ad is misleading, with posting a new model, and yours is not new... http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Hamer-Monaco-Superpro-Mons-Electric-Guitar_W0QQitemZ230275938361 http://cgi.ebay.com/USA-Hamer-Monaco-Super-Pro-superpro_W0QQitemZ200243295240 990 and 1299 finished prices. JL You know - It's really poor form to post disparaging remarks inside another member's selling thread. This is especially true when you also post misleading information. Apparently you did not grasp that the comparison I was making was the used versus new price. The point is that with the Monaco - whether mine or another - you will pay less than half of the retail price for a fantastic instrument. The auction you cite that ended at $990 didn't sell and cannot be compared meaningfully to an actual selling price. The one that ended at $1299 was up for only four hours before an astute buyer snagged it at a great BIN price. In fact I follow eBay sales of the Monaco Superpro closely. Another recent auction ended at $1488. I think mine is priced appropriately.
