Members corthullinger Posted August 23, 2009 Members Share Posted August 23, 2009 1958 Epiphone Flying V..I bought this off eBay earlier this year from a guy in Canada.I just have too much stuff and need to clear some room(and bank acct.)This Epi is about as close the real thing without spending $3000 for a Gibson Reissue..First off he had stainless steel fret put in..Cost him over $400...Next a bone nut..That was $75 and then had it rewired with what I believe an RS Guitarworks kit..I have the bill from the guitar shop that did it..I believe the price for mods were $625..The guitar has an OLD Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge..I cannot remember what is in the neck pickup..But it's not stock..Has Gibby badge on headstock(unplated like original) Guitar plays like a $3000 Gibby '58 and probably sounds better..Includes a hard shell case..Looking to get $700(less than what I paid for it) shipped in the Cont USA..
