Members SickBoy13 Posted September 20, 2018 Members Share Posted September 20, 2018 For sale is a 1985 Marshall JCM 800 2203 100 watt head unit modified with the famous Crunch Mod from Martin Golub at LA Sound Design. This amp was good before, but after the mod, the amp is absolutely KILLER. The Crunch Mod is also known as the Dookie Mod famously used by Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. If you are searching for a thick, smooth distorted tone like that, this is your amp. It can cover bright cleans and searing leads; this is a wonderfully balanced amplifier. It is a 33 year old amp, and shows signs of aging on the head cab, but it is completely functional and has had yearly maintenance to keep it running optimally.
