Members jgthatsme Posted June 22, 2018 Members Share Posted June 22, 2018 Just wondering if anyone has put a good e-kit through the new EV Evolve 50? I used e-drums extensively from around 1988 - 2002. I'm considering going back to them but also looking for a way to avoid big, beefy cabinets and monitors...and IEMs just don't do the trick for the band. They want to feel the drums more than hearing the drums. Back then my band ranged in size from 6 to 9 piece. Today we're just drums, guitar, keyboards who pumps bass, and a female vocalist. We might add horns for weddings or festivals but they're no longer a permanent fixture in the band. I'm thinking a couple of the Evolve 50s, everybody goes direct, much less gear to carry, and we're happy. Might need a supplemental sub-woofer on a larger gig, of which I have plenty, but just looking for feedback on the Evolve 50 with e-drums or, better yet, the Evolve 50 with a band and e-drums.
