Members ERock82
I've seen a lot of people mount 6" zil bells on top of ride cymbals or crashes BUT has anyone mounted on top of an upside down china? The reason I ask is because this would be the most comfortable spot but being that Chinas mount upside down the zip bell may not stick up high enough. Any thoughts?? I haven't bought the zil bell yet so I can't just test it out.
Members Dendy Jarrett
ERock82 - Welcome to the forums. I've done this. Mounted a Zil Bell (in my case a RanCan bell - Wuhan) in an inverted china. I took a thick cymbal felt and sliced it evenly in half and placed it between the two. Worked great. I've done splashes the same. I also have a 6" splash I mount on a second hi-hat clutch over my hi-hats. To Your point - You may only be able to mount a small bell there depending on the depth of the china.
