Generalized terms in various languages and translating into slow, real slow, fast, real fast, spam etc, are added wherever pertinent. Music requiring more specific indications will be marked with a metric scale such as, b = 60 bpm indicating half notes stream at 60 beats per minute spam. Members FitchFY Posted December 9, 2014 Members Share Posted December 9, 2014 If you're referring to traditional sheet music, i.e. not something downloaded off the internet with a bunch of Xs and Os, then there's hopefully a tempo marking right before the music starts. In a perfect drummer world, it's a quarter note with a BPM (beats per minute) value, such as "quarter note = 120." That's not as common as we'd probably all like. In classical and concert music, you'll normally see a tempo marking or description, which is as much for the tempo as it is the tenacity. Allegro or adagio may be more for the tempo, where con fuego is a bit more dramatic. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
