Members juheimbu
Check out just about anything by Miles Davis or John Coltrane. Dave Weckl is also great to listen to...These are just a few suggestions. There's LOTS more out there besides these. -juheimbu

Members the other kyle
i never liked count basie. i guess its because i never liked jazz that was THAT old school. never really got into big band, buddy rich with the small groups is about as old as i go liking the genre of old school jazz.speaking of ellington? do any of you guys have the release called "ellington goes uptown?" (I think that is the name.) it is a 6 song record with "skin deep" on it and people tell me bellson is excellent on it. but i haven't been able to find it. kyle
