Members Entheos406
Looking for something I am not going to have to worry about, turning my behringer s1530's into backup or ceremony music speakers. Anyway, I have a behringer 4000 and a behringer 2500 running through a crossover to behringer 400W tops and 700w subs. Looking for something beefy to replace my tops. Don't want to spend more than $500 each. Was looking at some Peavy sp6 or whatever they are called. 1200 watt power handling, looked nice, but also seemed like they would be hard to put on a stand at 95 lbs a piece. What do you guys recommend I upgrade to?
Members nchangin
JBL MRX LINE before they sell out good option. MRX 512 M for smaller compact speaker, lighter and can be used as a monitor as well. 2nd choice would be MRX 515's (15 " driver) larger speaker and heavier. I used to run SP peavey speakers, they are ok, but not JBL by any means. Also JBL has a mount for a 10 degree tilt forward (very cool)
Members Bugzie
Agreed, with MF blowing out the MRX 515's at like $479 you can't beat them. While a bit heavier than the 512's they are still reasonable in weight at something like 42 lbs.
Members BrotherJake
I suggest the Electro-Voice LiveX series particularly the ELX115 its 1600 watts peak and has a much better sound than the JBL models especially when it comes to the mid range and they're cheaper than the JBLs. AMS has a great deal going on them. http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-ELE-ELX115-LIST
Members Mikeyxcore
Can I just say that I am absolutely in love with the QSC K12? I found a brand new one for $665 (which covered getting it shipped to me), and it was some of the most well-spent money in my life.
