Members Rippin' Robin
I finally bought my very first gigbag. I hauled my basses everywhere in a great big flightcase for 5 years but with only 1 case and 3 basses I decided to get a gigbag afterall, because flightcases just don't work in the Dutch public transport system.. So I pulled the trigger on a new padded BassExchange gigbag. A guy bought a bass from BassExchange and got a free gigbag, but he didn't need it so I bought it for
Members Jazz Ad
I always use gig bags. Can't stand cases.
Members narcolepticbass
I use cases because they go in the back of a van with the rest of our gear(except for most of the drums). I use a gig bag if I bring my P-bass to acoustic shows though, but lately, I've just brought the acoustic bass in it's hardshell
Members bholder
Hmmm, I've got a bunch of spare gigbags and generic cases from my eBay exploits, and I can only see taking a few (1-3) out at a time, I guess I should get my act together and sell the rest on eBay. Could probably raise enough to finance something else.
Members NeonVomit
I prefer gigbags, but I still feel more confident lugging my bass around in its hardshell case, especially for air travel (which happens for me pretty regularly now)
Members el_duderino676
here is my philosophy: gigbag=electricshardshell case=acoustics or hollowbodies.
Members Cortfan
I have 1 bass, and 1 gigbag. I always carry my bass. I have hardshell cases for my acoustics, and my '63 Gretsch Tennessean.
Members sunburstbasser
My Reverend's hardcase has a lot more damage to it than the Reverend. I've had to glue the wood down on it in places and patch the vinyl in spots.
