They do in fact make some double necks that have the bass below, just not Ricks. This ones a Rick Clone. This headless would cut down on weight which is a big factor. I always wanted to try playing in a 3 piece band where both players used double necks and switched parts during a song. You could use a pair of guitar and bass amps separated on both sides of the stage where the players play through both so when you switch instruments, your bass or guitar doesn't jump to the other side of the stage.
