Overall Rating: I have been playing guitar professionally and semi-professionally for over 30 years......Mostly blues, classic rock, top40. The UE300 has been extremely easy to set up, use, and has provided a basic pallette of sounds that have served me well. Through the loop, I run the TS9 with different settings for crunch rather than full up like the UE300 tubescreamer is set so I have either available. Kicking in the TS9 on top of the UE300 Tube Screamer is a great way to boost solos even more. I bought a second unit at a vintage guitar show because I couldn't live without this thing. It has worked with every amp or guitar I own or have owned (and there have been alot)and, maybe because I have used it for so long, it is the best pedal I have ever owned.
Sound Quality: I have alot of other pedals: Fulltone overdrive, Klon Centaur, original TS9 Tube Screamer, etc. and find the UE300 to be great. Alittle noisy in the compressor section depending on the room and not a great studio unit. I have always felt that the Tube Screamer in this unit was far better sounding than my TS9. The chorus has always been great because its parameters are not way out there. Just simple chorus with a good sound.
Reliability/Durability: I have used it since 1985 for hundreds of gigs and spilled nearly everything on it and it still works...........
Ease of Use: I have used this pedal since I bought it new in '85 and it has been the center of my effects ever since. I use it because it is easy to use as well as an easy way to patch in additional effects through its loop.
