Overall Rating: I have been playing on off for around 10 years I started off playing classical for around two years in the late 90's I then started to learn electric around 2001 and have solidly been playing for the last four years with a small break over the summer...

I dont have antyhing I should have changed or asked about the guitar Ran have always been very helpfull and answered any questions well so I have been sure before placing an order.

If this or my other Ran were stolen i'd look for it or them untill I found them they are fairly distinctive so would be fairly easy to find...

I at first didnt entirely gel with the guitar but after a few months and pickup change it has broken in feel wise and now sounds better to me it feels more natural when playing plugged in...

I have played many top end guitars from different manufacturers, i have played some crap guitars and some good guitars, the Ran's I have are easily up there with the higher end guitars...
Features: This is a custom made Ran vision guitar The body is a typical soloist/dinky/M shape.

Reverse ESP pointy modern headstock

It's woods are mahogany wings with a three piece maple neck through and Ebony fretboard.

It's got a snow white finish on the body and headstock but has clear Satin Finish on the back of the neck which is more comfortable for me than gloss...

It has mother of pearl dot's with a Punisher skull on the 9-13th frets and a punisher skull in black painted on the body.

There is black binding on the neck and headstock, and 24 extra jumbo Frets.

Hardware is black with Schaller Floyd and tuners...

Factory pickups were EMG 85 in the bridge with a 60a in the neck I have had passives reinstalled as I no longer enjoy active pickups like I used to...

It has standard Floyd rose locking nut which is an R4 1 11/16th size...

Shiped with anice aluminium bound flightcase
Sound Quality: The sound is aimed towards high gain playing The EMg's were a great set of pickups but I prefer the feel of passives neither set were very noisey...

The 60a was a fairly versatile pickup and could get very very nice cleans and did well for higher gain stuff.
Reliability/Durability: I havent played with it Live but I have used and abused it the tuning stabillity si good when the floyds been set up after restringing...

A very solid guitar and it feels it..
Customer Support: Ran possibly have some of the best support around I'm sure If there was a major problem that they would accomodate any repairs but neoitther of my guitars have or even for the forseeable future will need major repairs

I don't think I am unhappy with anything on this guitar, I might have prefered a Gotoh Floyd over the Schaller one but it seems fine and well built, and very stable...

If it were stolen it'd probably be easy to track down as it is very unique, and I doubt there are any other guitars like this.

I pretty much see this as my Holy Grail guitar that will be used as my primary axe for most thing's....

I've played more than a few guitars that are considered good ie Gibsons, Fenders, Ibanez's, ESP's Jap ones, I suppose the only guitar I would ever get that could Rival this for me would be a Jem 7V

Maybe a Tremsetter

An allround great axe.....
Features: Made In 2005 In poland by Ran Guitars.

It's a 24 fret shred monster, it's got an alder body maple neck through Snow White finish on body/neck/headstock with black bevels on the front...

It Has a Volume/ Volume/ Tone and 3 way toggle, the pickups are an EMG 81 bridge and 85 neck active set.

It's a RR shape the man knew how to designa good guitar what can I say thats Randy Rhodes for those not in the know...

It's a 25.5 scale, it has a very comfy neck that is not too thin yet not too fat, very rounded....

Schaller Floyd Bridge, and Schaller M series non locking tuners.

Ebony fretboard with black binding and headstock, and mother of pearl Iron crosses...

It's a custom order built to my spec it was better than I imagined.

I took a little bit of time getting used to the Schaller Floyd, but It's fine now, I much prefer the Gotoh Floyd but thats me...

It's lasted well I had it in july its now october, It has two dings which were my fault.

It also came with labella strings which havea coating on them that stops them corroding.

Allround Ran guitars are great and simply cannot be beaten for thier price...

I was more than satisfied with this guitar...
Sound Quality: It's got an 81/85 set great for metal but roll the volume back on the 85 and you can get quite bluesy depending on your amp ofcourse...

It's got a great lead tone and good middle selection.

Overall great for what it's intended but if you want a wider range of sounds go and get some tapable duncans...
Reliability/Durability: I've had this since July 05 it's now October with two scratches however its very solid and seems like a tank for a guitar anyways...
Customer Support: Ran are an excellent company to deal with, and I will be buying more guitars from them in the future...

The main guy Dariusz is very good to deal with....
