Overall Rating: Seeing as the price for this guitar according to the shops website has recently been raised to 2795 SEK, I must have gotten lucky; they probably hadn't had time to change the pricetag. Considering the low price I can't fault J&Ds slightly lacking quality control. Any blemishes are what makes each instrument unique, and a unique instrument is very rare in these days of standardised mass production. If someone stole this guitar I'd hunt them down and roast them over a slow fire :smileywink:
Features: Dunno the year it's made, possibly last year (2005). On the island of Taiwan I suppose, but I don't really know where J&D have their guitar factory. 22 frets. Two humbuckers, haven't yanked them out to see who made them. 2 tone, 2 volume, standard LP 3-way toggle switch. All passive electronics. Body is either alder or mahogany, neck is either maple or mahogany, fretboard is rosewood with lovely block inlays a la Les Paul Custom. The whole guitar is painted in a creamy white nuance, the front, rear and headstock binding is gorgeous; it looks a hell of alot better than any Epiphone I've seen so far.Tune-o-matic bridge with the intonation screws turned towards the bridge pickup, ha ha ha! Lovely feature, dontcha think? Kluson die-cast tuners. All metal parts gilded/goldplated/or whatever it's called. black/white/black pickguard. The neck is surprisingly thin, which feels very nice; scale length is 628 mm, fret radius 350 mm.
No extra stuff came with the guitar, it was the only white LC3 left in the shop; apparently they've been selling real good. I did get a cardboard box for free to take it home with as it's still winter here.
Sound Quality: Haven't had time to plug it in and crank my tube amps yet but I'm sure it'll sound just fine.
Reliability/Durability: I've just bought the thing, so can't really say anything about this.
Customer Support: He, I seriously doubt I'll ever need to contact J&D headquarters in Taiwan.
Purchased From: Jam, Malmo, Sweden. www.jam.se if yer interested

Overall Rating: Been playing since I was 15 (1985). Always wanted a Stratocaster 'cos I love the sound Richie Blackmore has on the Fireball LP. Had one once, but had to sell it due to unemployment. Won't happen again.
Features: Made in 2005, China possibly. 21 medium jumbo frets, rosewood 9.5 radius fretboard. Solid alder body, maple neck. The usual Stratocaster controls/pickups/electronics/tremolo.
The tuners are standard OEM-stuff, probably by Gotoh or Schaller, but good quality anyway. No need to replace them for along time yet.
It doesn't come with any extras like gigbag/cable 'n' stuff.
Body is painted in what the retailer calls "Torino Red" (whatever that is) but Squire themselves call it Metallic Red, with finishing layers of polyurethane (same as used on the vintage Les Pauls, ya know). Makes the air breath, doesn't shut the moisture in & lets the colour age with grace.
Sound Quality: I play basically blues & blues rock. This guitar combined with my handmade tube amplifiers (I built them myself) is perfect for that. How it sounds? If you've ever played a Stratocaster through a Marshall JCM800 you know what it sounds like.
Reliability/Durability: As I mainly play for my own enjoyment, this guitar will last a lifetime.
Customer Support: He, never dealt with Squire.
Purchased From: Musikborsen, Malmo, Sweden.
