Overall Rating: ive been playing for 6 years, i own another ibanez RG, have owned a ESP and also own a epiphone explorer, and play thru a peavey 5150 and a carvin legacy cabinet. if it was lost, i would buy another one if i could find one. maybe somthing with a stopbar like a les paul. but this guitar is amazing! i went to berklee college of music this summer, and out of all the guitars i played there (MIA strats teles jacksons ltds musicman gibsons ect) this was the best playing guitar.
i simply love it. i give it a 10!
Features: Ibanez S540ltd trans blue, with quilted maple top (AWESOME!, looks like crushed velvet) made in japan, 22 jumbo(?) frets. solid mahogany body. one vol. one tone. 5 way switch, QM pickups, very nice Ibanez lo pro EDGE trem (better then a orig floyd rose!), HUGE strap buttons! maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. and very nice oval abalone inlays. you know the basics, the only thing that would make it a 10 is a peizo.
Sound Quality: i play mostly Metalcore and deathmetal, and this guitar sounds amazing, not NU metal sounding at all. very clear and bright, but still has lots of chunk, sounds awesome thru my 5150. ill never change the pickups! the single coil sounds OK, kinda thin, but the clean tone on the humbuckers is awesome, so i never use the SC.
Reliability/Durability: as i said above, i think it could stand live playing very well ( well i know it can, cuz i play it out all the time) and i go nuts onstage (flailing the guitar around, ect ect) seems to be fine. the finesh on the trem is starting to wear out. but that happens to all guitars. also as i stated before. the strap buttons are massive. i dont NEED straplocks, and they arnt a very high priority with this guitar since the buttons are so big, but i will get some sooner or later. i never gig without a backup
Customer Support: never dealt with ibanez.

Overall Rating: ive been playing for 5 years. i play metal. im not sure if i like the guitar THAT much, so im not sure if i would buy it again. ill post an update.
Features: 2000, made in japan, 22 frets, "korina" body, 2 volume 1 tone and a 3way PUP selector. two epiphone humbuckers, maple neck (i think) tune o matic, u know.
Sound Quality: sounds ok, pups are really muddy and need changeing, i play metalcore, death metal stuff, its ok, really got to change the pups. would prolly be a 9 with new pups but since the stock pups are crud ill give it a 7
Reliability/Durability: it seems pretty rugged, but the tuners arn't too too great, and the gold HW will rub off, needs straplocks, it SEEEEMS OK. i just got it.
Customer Support: nope
