Overall Rating: The combination of the LeoSounds pickups and the parts from Singlecoil are truly a match made in heaven. They deliver a true vintage '62 sound that is probably even better than the original (I was lucky enough to be able to compare them to a real 1962 Strat).

Also, both Michael of LeoSounds and Dirk of Singlecoil are lovely guys to deal with, incredibly helpful, full of good advice with fantastic customer service. With the products they've got, what more do you need?

These are the best pickups for a Strat I've ever heard and probably one of Europe's best kept secrets. Forget Fralins and Duncans and all your other single coil replacements, these are in a different league. If you're reading this, you're probably considering trying a set ¿¿¿ my best advice to you is DO IT, but make sure you order the upgraded components from Singlecoil to go with them.
Features: Set of 3 handmade single-coils. Middle is RWRP for hum cancelling in the Stratocaster two and four switch positions. Neck 6.6 ohm, Middle 6.5 ohm, Bridge 6.9 ohm ¿¿¿ all 3 are 8% "overwound" for a little more output.
Sound Quality: Here I need to mention Dirk Wacker of singlecoil.com ¿¿¿ I took some excellent advice from him and ordered three military spec 250k pots (c/w treble bleed capacitor installed), some vintage braided cloth wire and a ceramic .022 capacitor. He delivered these parts to Michael at LeoSounds and when my pickups were shipped, the package included Dirk's parts ¿¿¿ saving the postage costs. Fantastic service.

I modified the wiring for the bottom tone control so that it also affects the bridge pickup ¿¿¿ it's a simple mod to do and is compulsory on all my Strats, allowing the bridge pickup to be warmed up a little bit when you need to ¿¿¿ this LeoSound pickup is so clear and defined, it doesn't hurt it at all to roll off a little of the treble.

These pickups deliver crystal clear bell-like tones, full of character, with superb response. The website states that the output is medium/high, but I think it's more towards the medium part of the scale.

Another point worth mentioning is the difference in sounds available from the three different pickup positions. Each pickup has a very distinct character, clearly defined from the others.
