The slightly overwound BG Bucker neck and the JB are the perfect compliment to each both power and tone wise. One awesome hard rockin' set capable of covering a wide range of great useable tones. A perfect set!

They also sound very good split. The bridge is a bit thin when split but it does a passable strat-bridge tone. The neck and middle positions are the best I've ever heard from a split humbucker, it has a tele-ish vibe in my CT4 that is very usable.
Probably not the best bet for metal but they do stay very defined through my laney with the boost on and the gain dimed. You might want something else if your bread and butter is modern metal but these will pull it off as good as or better than any "PAF" styled humbucker I've heard.

I originally heard about BG Pickups from the guys at the Harmony-Central forums, and every positive thing they had to say was dead on. Excellent customer service, really good price and best of all GREAT TONE! If you're looking for any sort of pickup, Bryan can make them for you! Fantastic deal!
My local guitar tech and I compared the sound of my Epiphone G-400 with the BG Buckers with his Gibson '59 Les Paul Reissue that had Gibson '57 classics in it and the sound was remarkably comparable!

I've been playing for about 20 plus years, but only about the last 7 years have I been playing more seriously.
Gear= Epiphone Les Paul Custom SG body style, Toni Iommi Signature Epiphone, Line 6 AX2 212 as my main rig and A Peavey XXL half stack/full stack Ibanez Tube Screamer TS 9. 1973 Gibson SG.
I love the warmth and voicing with excellent cleans and excellent punch when needed on overdrive channels. Very quiet pickup with no hum!
I'm comparing these pickups all through my 2 amps, with my friends 2 Gibson Standard SG's 1 with p90's and 1 with 57's and my Toni Iommi. I've had the pleasure of playing many high end guitars and theres nothing like a custom hand wound set of pickups. I got to play this guitar through my friends tube Marshall stack and I was completely blown away at how nice and powerfull my tone sounded. And through my Amps I've never had a better sounding tone.
My tone search is over for now. And when I try something new I will be getting another set of BG Pickups. A great product, excellent service and great pricing.
I cant wait to split these pickups with push pulls.
Vintage output 4 conductor wire for coil splitting
I'm using a Line 6 AX2 212 and A Peavey XXL half stack/full stack with a Ibanez Tube Screamer TS 9.
The tone is balanced very well giving me an excellent vintage vibe with excellent cleans, and amazing sounding with some overdrive. My band mates are amazed with my new tone compared to my Toni Iommi pickups. My guitar tone finally cuts through great with the band at practice and live. These pickups have great punch when needed and clean up great to.
I mostly play hard rock, classic rock, blues and some heavy metal tones.
