Southern Strategy was put into place by Nixon...by that logic, FDR was a republican. I'm not taking sides here, just stating a fact-Lincoln was a Republican. Some people can't accept the fact that there are and were good people on both the left and the right.

That's the crux of the matter. Some people care about labels, and some people care about behavior.

Those who fixate on "Republican" or "Democrat" without taking into account the various ideology shifts that have happened in history to both political parties are either willfully ignorant or outright trolling.

Then again we KNOW people outright troll on this forum yet people keep on conversing with the trolls.

The party he founded exists to this very day and President Obama is a member of it:

The Democratic Party.  It's name has changed, but it's the same organization.
