The left is out there with the same MO. The talking points......   If you own a gun , you are either racist,stupid or a mental case.  In the mean time , the big blue cities where they have been able to make policy are war zones despite all their gun control measures.    When democrats fail , they go into screech mode to deflect from their failure.

And leave themselves vulnerable to the Brittish and French? Read the entire Constitution and notice that several parts of the bill of rights cover aspects of government run amok military behavior that would not be legal in the USA. The British had a habit of doing those things. (Billeting in your home without asking permission.) The Founding Fathers counted upon the States to provide for the common defense. The Country wasn't defenseless, only didn't have a standing Federal Army.

One common thread I see in posts and comments resisting any common sense gun regulations is that a large majority really believe they need their weapons to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. They then claim the real problem is mental illness apparently completely ignorant to the irony of what they are sayin
