2016 will probably be the first election where the independents outnumber the Ds and Rs combined. An intelligent, well-spoken independent with name recognition could probably win, but the existing third partiess don't really have a chance.

You know, I might have to agree with you for once :-) Yeah, it might be that the time has come when America would vote for an independent.
