I listen to Rush,Hannity, and a local right wing guy, probably more than any other talk radio.  I hear the same angry lies perpetuated there, repeated here, practically verbatim. AM spin radio has truly become the philosophical linchpin of the right wing. 

I think the republican strategy to demonize Obama as a socialist, a Kenyan, a gun grabber have been a shameful shadow on the GOP. There is normal political resistance, and then there is the shameful display the republicans have put on for the last 4 years, including holding the US credit rating hostage, while they played chicken with the debt ceiling.

The right wing is almost to..Cumbersome to debate with anymore..... a good example is the gun debate. Some right wing idiot on this board actually accused "libs" of staging a false flag operation at Sandy Hook, in order to begin the gun grab. How in the hell does one "debate" with that person? 

I haven't found too many pro-gun people who can debate rationally, so I don't really try. I own guns, and I firmly believe in my right to own them and protect my life and property....but I think we could go a long way towards gun ownership reform. There needs to be a debate, but the idiot right immediately shuts down any dialogue, and starts talking revolt.  I believe in 2nd amendment rights, I am just not afraid that the government will take my guns...I'm just not worried about it.

3. The gun debate is about allowing people like you to own guns to protect themselves. Not just you, but everybody in America. The left seems to feel that things like gun free zones work, but they obviously do not. Show me where they have and I will show you a place - maybe two where they don't.

The actual argument from the right concerning guns is really simple. Do you have the right to protect yourself?

How has he been a "gun grabber"?  I actually heard Hannity screaming about "Obama didnt act on his radical anti-gun agenda during his entire first term,... until Sandy Hook."  His agenda was apparently sooo radical, it couldnt be revealed..." I lol'ed  Now there is talk of an assault weapons ban, pffft...a) i doubt it will happen  b) it's nothing that hasnt come and gone before c) I personally think the answer is not in assault rifles, but in changiing the culture, which conservatives worship, so I doubt that will happen either. This too will pass, there is nothing "radical" about it. Banning guns is ridiculous - it will never happen  But somethimg needs to.....
