If I have observed anything while perusing HCPP is that those from the right are much more likely to attack and insult someone than from the left. There is no dispute, it is fact.
It has become nothing more than a toxic "shout down" by anyone who questions republican legislators. This vicious circle of hate being perpetuated by the right wing is unproductive and unhealthy.

It was understandable during the Bush administration because of his destruction of the economy and constitution, however, the grave dancing following the 08 election was childish to say the least, and has been a constant embarrassment to the democratic cause.

Right wingers now understand how the left has felt for the past 3 decades, and although the right deserved a slap into reality, this vicious circle of tension being perpetuated by the left is unproductive and unhealthy.

I have done all I can: Identified the problem, named the perpetrators, and held them publicly to task. That is/was and will remain my only option, other than to be silent and tacitly support said behaviour, which in my mind renders me complicit . And if there is anything in this world I do not approve of, it is being complicit.

Meh, its more of a maturity thing.
If you're 20 and conservative, you're fucked up.
If you're 40 and still a liberal, you're seriously fucked up.
01-31-2013 02:13 AM
I wish people give up flag bearing. But they won't. I meet a lot of people every day. Some are so politically charged up. That whole thing about being 40 and still liberal you're seriously fucked up? I see them in their 50s conservative and they're fucked up. Doesn't matter. Left.. right. Who cares anymore? I don't.
I think viciousness comes with whose turn. I remember the Reagan years. Righties were pretty much in your face. Now it's the left.

By 40 you should relize that there is a vast difference in those that will not and those that can not.
You can't help those that will not no matter what oppertunities you throw their way.
I'm for letting them starve. Time to use our limited resources wisely instead of letting the deadbeats drag all of us under.

a litle ultra violence? ala clockwork orange? on the libs?
01-31-2013 03:51 AM
No....no violence. Just quit enabling them.
My gf is a high school special ed teacher. She is so frustrated by the kids that will not apply themselves at all.
Not just because of their lack of motivation, but mainly because of the disruption they cause and the unfairness to those struggling but trying.
I believe it carries on into the real world. We waste way too much time and resources on people that have proven that they have no intention of being contributing members of society. Fuck them.........let them starve

Sure. And then there are those who no longer define themselves as conservatives because the right has chosen to define themselves as ant-gay, anti-immigrant, anti-Black, Latino, Asian...
The Right has chosen to embrace every armed conflict, real and imagined, to solve every international conflict with bullets and bombs.
I am considerably over 40. I used to vote Republi8can. Back when Republicans were reasonable folks. That was quite a while ago.
Now I am a liberal.
I go to work every day. I pay my taxes, donate to charity. I own my own home, don't have any credit card debt. I drive an American made car.
I'm the lib you never talk about, but there are many, many new libs like me who have been left in the lurch by a Republican party that veered hard, radical right.
I want my roads and bridges fixed. Yes, even at the expense of military operations. I'd rather build things than blow them up, generally, realizing that there are times when there are no alternatives.
I don't believe that it hurts me or my relationships if a gay couple in my town and/or my state want to get married. My relatinship stands on its own merits, independent from that couple and their relationship.
I see roofing crews and farm workers here doing back-breaking work under the beating sun, working harder than anyone I know personally. They pay taxes. And the people that want to throw them out of the United States certainly wouoldn't work those jobs or those working conditions. I know Asians who own businesses here who work long days and seven days a week so that their children can go to college and get good science-oriented jobs here, and become highly paid, highly respected, highly valued members of ths society. And yet they are subjected to all manner of abuse and denigration, (and not by the liberals I know).
Yeah, I'm a liberal, over 40, and proud of it.

As a lifelong TEAbagger I no longer support the GOP. Funny how the TEAbaggers and Occupiers are protesting essentially the same thing, but the media ( both left and right ) keep them against each other.

Does anyone know what a "fact" is? The reason lefties may appear viscious is because the majority of righties are mindless douche bags with no concept of reality, only the tainted version they get from the other douche bags at Fux News or the Fudge report.

See what you did there ? For the record, I never watched FOX or listened to Rush Limbaugh. I knew they were fakes from the onset.

And I've been on two other sites where it's completely the other way around with the righties being the most viscious and nastier.
This board \/ used to be in full swing but has declined over the years. At its full.... it was downright nasty. And the majority are repugs. I didn't have to look very hard for these quotes... at all.
Just one excerpt from that last board:

Leyenda1 Re: Once again Willie Ps Journal. After I have unceremoniously kicked Willie P cock out of your mouth can you come right out and say that you hate the military please?
And these ones:

riggo44w: The People Have Spoken Suck It Liberals! Take your Socialism and stick it where the sun don't shine!
Brown Scores Upset Victory Over Coakley in Massachusetts Senate Race
Pong-Messiah: Yeah! Back to hell with liberalism! Burn the witches at the stake after cutting off all their hair so it isn't so stinky. Yeeee haw!
Leyenda1: I switch over to MSNBC and the mule dyke Rachel Maddow was saying the people were wrong in voting the way they did. The gaul of the left! But the more and more they open their mouths the more and more they detach from the people. And President Spock talking about Brown and his truck...damm! Amatuer hour at the Apollo!!! This Presidency is proving to be the biggest buyers remorse since the Yugo.
