Nugent seems exactly the type of personality the gun-fans say we should do more to make sure they don't have access to guns.
You'd think the NRA would be all over this, as it's the essential part of their plan to keep gunz out of the hands of kooks.

It's understandable that Ted is scared of the commies, last time he thought he might have to face the commies he literally **bleep** his pants.

Sorry, but that's not accurate, and if you look around a little you'd know it. Improved mental health resources for these troubled boys is the best way to reduce such incidents, but it won't eliminate them.
So the NRA isn't really proposing ANYTHING then. They just want to pretend like they are. Some "feel good" legislation perhaps. Got it.

Nugent needs to take up a gym membership. He's fat.

I did check it out at an Amboy Dukes show in the early 70's along with my friends. Nugent is a liar on that claim, and he wasn't too happy when we caught him in the act.

It's your side, the anti-rights one, that wants psych evals for the entire adult population, it's our side that has been saying you can't legislate against sudden onsets of mental illness.
I don't like Ted, even a little. I quit the N.R.A. because that maniac Wayne LaPierre puts Ted and Oliver North up as examples of American gun owners.
The way to improve our situation is through education, training, the de-stigmatization of mental health care, and time.
I learned to respect guns and other people's space, as did most of the other 80,000,000 law abiding American gun owners.
Do you expect society to somehow make you safe from crazy people? No, it's the pro-gun side pushing for more mental health screenings. Well, if they don't weed out potential jack-nut crazies like Nugent, then what exactly are they pushing for? Just some "feel good" legislation that isn't going to accomplish anything?
Exactly...especially considering that Nugent has made threatening remarks in the past, and also has been convicted of a gun related crime.
Exactly what are they waiting for?

Yes, for his veiled threat about being dead or in jail if Obama gets elected. Now this --- coupled with the fact he has been convicted on gun related charges i the past......
So we have a person who makes threats and is known to be irresponsible with guns, this is the perfect optimality to stem some potential violence.
I wonder why the righties aren't on board, if they are being honest when they say they are concerned about gun violence...
Oh that's right, Ted has the same point of view as them, and they are a bunch of dishonest, pieces of **bleep**.
That's right, I remember now.

Maybe someone should start one of those petition thingies to demand an investigation into Nugent's ability to own gunz, considering all the above.
