last quarter? What's coming that will turn it around? Tax increases? Obamacare? 131 "economically significant" regulations?

I don't know about you, but my bank account is the biggest it's ever been. ![]()
"Senators say they fear the N.R.A. and the gun lobby. But I think that fear must be nothing compared to the fear the first graders in Sandy Hook Elementary School felt as their lives ended in a hail of bullets. The fear that those children who survived the massacre must feel every time they remember their teachers stacking them into closets and bathrooms, whispering that they loved them, so that love would be the last thing the students heard if the gunman found them."- Gabrielle Giffords

I thought about starting a thread regarding Bernanke's plan to keep printing $85 billion a month in the Fed's continued debt monetizing efforts, but I figured it'd just sink anyway. Too many really interesting and important threads about guns and Republicans being fat poopyheads to bother.

So our economy now relies on government spending. that's not a healthy economy.

"NOW relies"??? LOL. Where have you been for the last 75 years? We've been TREMENDOUSLY reliant upon government spending since the beginning of WWII. The defense industry has been one of the biggest sectors of the economy for decades. Who do you think has ultimately been employing all those people? The American taxpayer, my friend.

yup smaller Gov't and Hannity was crying about it today on hate radio.Ironic make gov't smaller the wingnuts about-face, call it a new recession (Hannity's words) and blame Obama for .. what? .. doing what the RWNTs asked for
no wonder they are becoming marginalized and irrelevant

Yep. The same people screaming for austerity measures panic when even a small modicum of austerity is implemented.
Truth is A) they don't know what the fuck they are talking about.
B) wouldn't matter if they did. They aren't interested in what's good for the nation. Only what's good for their pocketbook. And for people like Hannity it's simply to oppose Obama/Dems and blame them for EVERYTHING. Because that's what keeps their listeners tuning in every day.

Obama has the highest approval rating since his first day in office. Republican, not much.
The political strategy of opposing everything Obama does and cock blocking Obama's initiatives hasn't worked out very well, lol.
The American people are officially clueless. Economy's bumped along the bottom for four years and now is slipping back into recession? Bernake is printing money like crazy? We're borrowing 40 cents of every dollar we spend? More economy crippling policies on the way? We don't care. We're low information voters that tune in to TMZ and Entertainment tonight. Lindsay Lohan we can tell you about. Kim Kardashian? On it. Honey Boo Boo. Oh yeah.
God help us.

That was your pal McLovin. Kanye West can waste all his money on her. He is wasting his hard earned fortune.

Of course who cares about a stagnant economy, falling middle class incomes, monstrous deficits, $6 trillion in new debt...we have to tackle the REAL issues like gun control, gay rights and amnesty for illegals!
