I like where I live. You are totally free not to own a gun. In fact in your situation its prolly best that you dont own one. The border is what it is.

It must suck to live a life in terror of everything around you.
Why would you like where you live when you are always afraid of being a victim of crime?

Enforcing background checks for all sales will keep more people safe.
Background checks are fine.
It is interesting that Biden has no interest in prosecuting anyone that lies on their 4473 though.
I agree.

The rio grande valley is a wonderful place to live , but it does have its risks and you just prepare for them. We have a lot of cartel activity involving smuggling of drugs and humans, here and those guys are armed and dangerous. The second amendment is my right to personal protection measures that I feel are prudent. For the most part if you keep your face clean you wont have problems , but you can end up at the wrong place at the right time and need to protect yourself. Millions of dollars of drugs get smuggled across the border every day in our area. The risks are real.
It must suck to be so afraid of life. The 2nd amendment is not about self protection.
It has nothing to do with "being afraid of life". Pickup the paper and check it out. There are dangerous people out there doing horrible things to innocent people. Are you one of those who think the police are there to protect you? When someone is kicking down your door at 3am there better be a cop in your driveway or a gun in your hand because if not you're screwed. In just about all of these situations the cops show up, take a report and you are left to clean up the mess (if you are alive) and try to piece your life together.
I take full responsibility for the safety of myself and my family. I, to the best of my ability and with the right tools available (re: firearm of my choosing), will do everything in my power to keep me and my family from being a victim. If you wait around waiting for the police to protect you you may well end up being a statistic.

I dont intend to be a victim of crime. I dont intend to be a victim of liberal pro criminal policy either. Why has obama stockpiled millions and millions of hollow point ammo in the last year? Hollow point ammo is not used by the military.

Seems like he is a victim already.
"Senators say they fear the N.R.A. and the gun lobby. But I think that fear must be nothing compared to the fear the first graders in Sandy Hook Elementary School felt as their lives ended in a hail of bullets. The fear that those children who survived the massacre must feel every time they remember their teachers stacking them into closets and bathrooms, whispering that they loved them, so that love would be the last thing the students heard if the gunman found them."- Gabrielle Giffords

Am I afraid of evil people that could do harm to me and my family? You're damned right I am, right down to my shoes. Only a fool has no fear of these people. You can sit around and sing kumbaya with your friends but the reality is bad things happen to good people. It happens everyday. Only a delusional fools thinks otherwise. Do I live in fear? No, I live with a healthy caution of what is out there.
BTW, I would never wish any harm to come to you and your family and I hope it never does. But it doesn't hurt to be vigilent and prepared. There is no downside to it.

Your paranoia has made you completely unhinged.
What are these "liberal pro-criminal policies" that you speak of?

It's part of the conservative mindset: they have to be afraid of someone/something; they have to have enemies; they have to feel superior to some other group.
Wouldn't matter where he lived. There's always "someone" to fear and to need to "protect" yourself from.

It may or may not be.
First of all, I don't necessarily believe that every citizen needs, or should have access to, the same weaponry the police/military have. You don't need to have your own personal SWAT team arsenal to protect your home and your family.
Second of all, I'm not so certain that the SS who follow the Obama girls around DO have any weapons that anyone is considering restricting/banning. What's the standard-issue SS weapon, anyway?

When you are willing to take away gun rights from the people , you do nothing but empower criminals. Look at chicago. Pretty near the highest murder rate in the country, and totally run by democrats. Look at detroit, Look at any big blue city. Obama voters are either nieve or stupid

 at your conservative mindset BS. Do you not check both ways before driving through an intersection? If you do is it because you are afraid or fear being hit by another car. If you don't then you are a fool and have been very lucky so far. You seem to me to run your life altogether differently than you drive your car if you check before you cross.

You need to spend less time reading conservative-whacko websites and/or subscribing to their emails. Even the NRA debunked THAT conspiracy theory:
http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2012/fe
Always cracks me up when you conspiracy nuts seems to have oodles of time to read up on this nonsense, and can take the time to spread the stories and demand that "the question must be asked!", but can't ever seem to find the 15 seconds it takes to do a quick Google search and answer the **bleep** questions yourself.

A huge chuckle for any mention of fear from bozos that are terrified of guns.
