NRA Wants Shooting Spree Maniacs To Buy More Guns

The Onion has weighed in on the gun control debate with the most pointed satire of the NRA yet. In a new video, the fake news site spoofs the opposition to President Obama's gun control proposals, saying "NRA Fights Legislation That Would Ban Gun Sales To Those Currently On Killing Sprees".

The short Onion News Network piece reports, "In a press release today, NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre wrote, 'What if you're in the middle of shooting your family, and then a criminal breaks into your house? This law says you can't get ammunition to defend your home.'"

The Onion's version of LaPierre continues, "The only way to stop a bad guy on a killing spree is a good guy on a killing spree."

However, the fake quote is only a small step away from the real NRA VP's words. In his much-maligned press conference after the Newtown tragedy, he insisted, "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun."

Most bad guys with guns were once good guys with guns. The only way to stop bad guys with guns is to restrict/control/ and /or ban assulat rifles.
Look, I like guns, I have many, but im willing to give in/ give up , to insure that these slaughters of innocents stop!

I love The Onion, but seems the had to struggle to find much of a joke here. Problem is, you really can't be much more ridiculous and silly than LaPierre and the NRA already are. They don't leave a lot of room for satire.

Thank you. I'm okay with you owning guns. I just think the assault weapons should go as they can do the most damage in a shorter period of time.

There is more than one way to stop a bad guy with a gun, but there is only one way for LaPierre and his NRA benefactors to profit from it - sell more gunz.

WHERE in the second amendment does it say what guns you can and can not own? Govco can tell you the only weapon you are allowed to own is a musket and they'd still be following the constitution.
