I'm struggling to make this work. Some of the options seem to have no effect, and the option categories make no sense.

I don't need spell check - I have it built into my o/s and it simply adds an extra, awkward step. It's a a bit too much like HC 2.0

for my liking. Post order keeps defaulting back to newest first, which I hate. I want to read a thread in the order it was posted.

Thumbs down from me. Sorry. Vbulletin is without a doubt the best forum software, period. It's the standard of most large forums.

There isn't anything I can say about it.  I hate the the way the text does not wrap also.

I wonder how many people this iteration is going to drive away? HC 2.0 costs HC 2/3 of it's users. I guess they will never learn.

That's a big positive factor, I agree. The question is, how many will be willing to put up with the new forum software to do so?

Like they said, they're gonna iron out the kinks.

The fact is that the forums are working now, and you can still access the wealth of information that was generated previously on the on-topic boards. Sure, the graphic design/layout isn't half as slick and professional as on the old forums, but it'll all get worked out.

Hopefully this iteration will draw in a new slew of musicians/soundologists/lifers/nutcases.

In my experience, neither works. They just don't get it and they don't seem to care. This is the exact same FAIL format that I've dealt with in another forum. It's like the designers don't really have any experience on forums. But hey, they sure like to put pretty pictures on the sides. FAIL.

Now watch, I'll post this and then the forum will take me to page one to a point that I don't give a flying **bleep** about. So I'll have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the last page. Then I'll have to scroll down to find my post and read it to see if  it's okay. FAIL all over the place.
