As I've gotten older, I've gotten more of an appreciation for music. I'm pretty sure that's because of some of the musicians here... and aging.   I like some of the singers from the 60's and their contributions. I also like gotye.   Don't like Taylor Swift. And I'm pretty sure you do because of how she looks.

But at least new pop music sounds new.  Most is no more relevant to me than stuff 40 years ago was to my dad, but at least both era's music was new, which is why the old folks never "get" it.   Which is kind of how it's supposed to be.

yeah, all that new country/rock is played well, recorded and produced well - it's just boring as fuck.

Bands have been playing those same progressions and sound for 40 years now, and most of it was done better than this.
