Do Republicans actually disagree with Obama on the issues?

Or are they simply carrying a stupid partisan grudge?

A Washington Post poll released Tuesday showed enormous support among Republicans for a path to citizenship for undocumented workers in the country — that is, unless President Barack Obama is associated with the measure.

Seventy percent of those surveyed, including 60 percent of Republicans, said they favor a path to citizenship. But GOP support for the measure took a steep drop when the measure was linked with Obama.

With the President's name included in the question, only 39 percent of Republicans said they support a path to citizenship. Overall support slipped to 59 percent with Obama's name included.

Their partisan hatred and racism blinds them.

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Do they still hate him?  Yes!  The difference is that now he knows it, and is going to get stuff done with or without them.  His approval rating is 52%, which is pretty high.

good post. Reminds me of the democrats who opposed things that Bush did (civilian deaths, erosion of civil liberties), but support them now that Obama is in charge.

More like, opposed those things when Bush did them, but overlook them now that Obama is doing them because he's actually doing a bunch of other stuff they support, unlike Bush.

When polled about gun control, Republican majorities support universal background checks, bans on high capacity clips, and tighter registration requirements. A plurality even supports assault weapons ban.

Yet, when asked if they support Obama's gun initiatives, only 21% say yes.

LOL.

Remember how the left skewered Bush for warrantless international wiretaps with terrorists? Now Obama has a "kill" list and just incinirates people around the globe including an American citizen and there's not a peep from them. Hypocrisy thy name is HCPP liberal.

Re: Do Republicans actually disagree with Obama on the issues?

last night i was watching the PBS show where billy connelly was riding his three wheeled motorcycle across the old US route 66.

this episode took place across a bible belt stretch of road between st louis and oklahoma city. at one point, billy stopped to chat at a rural roadside fleamarket (billy called it a "car boot sale").

one man had set up his folding table with items for sale. right next to his nazi war memorabilia was a selection of "obama sucks" bumper stickers. as billy walked away, he remarked to the camera how the nazi items gave him a queasy feeling in his stomach.

it is interesting to see ourselves through the eyes of others sometimes.

His approval rating has slumped back to medicocrity. same place it was before his inaugaration. He's underwater on almost every issue.

Re: Do Republicans actually disagree with Obama on the issues?

Bush's wiretaps were listening in on Americans inside America WITHOUT warrants. They listened in on reporters, politicians, and even service members talking dirty with their wives back home. During that time, you republican cunts were defending it, saying "if you haven't done anything wrong, you got nothing to worry about".

Obama's wiretaps all require FISA court warrants.

There is no comparison.

I was on this forum back when the warrant less wiretapping hit the fan. There were plenty of GOP cunts saying the same thing.
