Re: Chris Christie: NRA ad "reprehensible"

I'm a liberal Democrat and Chris Christie is looking like an Eisenhower Republican that might run for the White House. That's rare and refreshing and could garner a huge number of moderate votes. (Assuming the GOP doesn't torpedo him as way too liberal.)

Maybe the GOP nomination, but not the election, at least not if Hillary Clinton runs.

Still, after the crop of nit-wits, fringe crazies and losers the GOP had to choose from this cycle, Christie WOULD be a breath of fresh air and sanity.

But given the current system, which is CLEARLY broken, especially on the GOP side, I don't seen how CC can make it through the primary season if nuts like Sheldon Adelson and Pete Peterson and Foster Friese continue to support the Santorums, Gingrichs and Perrys with beaucoup bux.  Christie with HAVE to go "right" to get the nomination but then when he tries to go center again, he'll be stuck.  That routine has failed to win the GOP a majority or even a plurality of the popular vote in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2008 and 2012.  That's five of the last six elections. So IF C-C can figure out how to win the nomination from the Center, without pandering to the nutty right (no "severe Conservative" or "47%" idiocies) he's got a good shot at "the Title".

But if C-C blows it here in NJ in November, all bets are off. A lot can happen in the next 10 1/2 months.in New Jersey.

I still like Christie. But like many here, he's missing the point of the NRA.

Besides, where's his outrage over Obama exploiting his own children for political gain?

Either way, if armed guards are an effective way to protect some children, then they're an effective way to protect all children.

No amount of menstruating by the left will change that.

I don't think Hillary or Biden will win the Dem nomination. They are too old.

The point of the NRA is to help the firearms industry sell more guns.

Conservative Playbook.

1. Use Bible to "hurt" all that aren't like you.

2. Use Bible to "forgive" your own extramarital affairs, lying and cheating, leading to a "new and better you".

3. Tell the voters that "Jesus has forgiven you".

4. Get re-elected by the most gullible group of people on the planet, (conservative voters)...then marry your mistress.

Inducing hysteria in paranoid idiots so the industry can sell more product at inflated prices is the NRA at the top of their game.

Hah! Not happening in THIS lifetime!  All Christie has to do win overwhelmingly is not f*ck up this year.  Of course, if he does, he COULD lose this November.

Re: Chris Christie: NRA ad "reprehensible"

Chris Christie has kids and THEY are protected and, if he's looking at the WH, he's going to want them to have the best protection the Secret Service can provide.

The President's children are "HIGH VALUE TARGETS" to enemies. Back in the middle ages, when kings exchanged hostages, they didn't exchange peasants, then exchanged princes and princesses--"HIGH VALUE TARGETS".
