The era of humiliating China is over, over since a long time. Chinese people do not even consider Japan to be populated by humans.
When i talk to Chinese, any Chinese, the only thing I heare is:
"I hate Japanese".
"Our family lost dozens of members when the Japanese came".
"My grandmother was going to the mountain when the Japanese came to Nanjing, that's why I was born".
The Japanese should walk on their knees to China and beg for fogiving.

I was wondering if china wants to kick japans arse for what happened in the 30's
Though if it does escalate, where i am (australia) will be in an interesting spot.W
We need china more than japan.

From what I can understand, it is about oil in disputed waters. Who the hell knows how that will go. Fortunately for Japan, there are a few american military bases here, and we all know how America feels about oil.

China is an enemy waiting to strike. Japan is an ally.
Being an Aussie you might not care.

That makes no sense.

Just for geo-political issues alone, it makes sense that Australia would be GREATLY concerned about a China/Japan conflict. Just as they were prior to WWII. And that doesn't even begin to consider issues of trade.

True, but I was referring to the fact that he's Australian he might not care that China is our enemy and Japan is an ally.

He might care even more. A) he'd be more likely to be in the line of fire of any actual armed conflict. B) the Aussies are more closely allied with the Chinese than with the Japanese in many ways, but of course have strong alliances to the US and Britain as well.
