Something In The Way You Play: How To Play George Harrison's Solo in "Something"

Aside from being a well-crafted song, The Beatles' classic, “Something” features one of Harrison’s finest guitar solos during his time with the band.

His solo is fun and is a great illustration of how to play along with chord changes, as well as how Harrison went about using prebends, hammer-ons, pull-offs and slide techniques.

Learn how to play the Beatles' classic with tabs and a video, here.

Didn't McCartney play this solo too?

Hell no, but George did re-cut the solo almost note for note a second time while the orchestra was tracking just to get the right "feel" being in the same room as all the strings.

George thought Paul's bass in this song was a little "busy" but it shows how incredible Paul was as a bassist.
